The review for the iTouchDS has been posted. It’s not a bad card, but it suffers from one fatal flaw. But it’s not a flaw that couldn’t be addressed by developers which would quick make this cart of the best value-to-features offerings available. Read on…
The AceKard 2 review is posted! Great affordable card!
Sorry it took me so long to post this - as you can see by the date in the screen shot, I’ve had this build for a couple of months. I planned on doing a couple of more things, but figured I should just go ahead and release v1.4 now. 7zip support, couple of bug fixes, etc. Check out the SkinnyRom page for more info! Enjoy!
Good News! Acekard is sending a review unit of their latest product, the Acekard 2. I’ll be giving it the full review as soon as I receive it! Also, I’ll release the latest build of SkinnyRom at the same time, so stay tuned!
I’ll be releasing SkinnyRom v1.4 soon, and alas, it will have 7-zip support. There might be a couple of extra goodies as well.
Hope everyone gets there favorite DS games and accessories!
Have a good holiday.
This game is something special. I’ve already sunk nearly 10 hours into it, and it’s been enjoyable the whole way so far. I’ve never played one of these types of role playing games before so perhaps it’s partly just because it’s all new to me. But honestly, from head to toe,
this game rocks. Battles are fun, exploring is varied and entertaining.
Building up monsters to synthesize together to make new, stronger base monsters is a joy. It’s graphics are well done, the game design is rock solid, and it’s extremely easy to learn and jump right into! No overly long cut scenes, and the difficultly level seems just about right. Not too hard, not too easy.
Synthesizing is a great aspect of this game, and when you do “combine” two monsters together, the new monster can inherit some of the traits of each of the old monsters. Although the new monster will have better starting abilities and the potential to eventually grow stronger than the two sacrificed ones, it will still start at level one, which really makes synthesizing a bit of a sacrifice. You certainly can’t synthesize all your high level monsters at once, or you’d be stuck going back to the starter island just to level them back to a usable state. The game is great. I’ll say no more. Just try it!
This game has been a pleasant surprise. I missed the first one someh
ow, but I might have to go back and check it out now. It’s a very accessible game, well laid out and not confusing. The story isn’t mind-numbingly drawn-out or boring, yet it’s fairly entertaining. The controls are strong to very strong.. you won’t need a stylus for this one, and you’ll be glad you don’t. Some games just play better without it, and this is probably one of them. The game grabs you right away, and shows you how fun it can be. There’s no overly-long introduction, and that’s a GOOD thing! Fighting and leveling is fun so far, and it looks like character depth will be decent. Overall, a well made game that deserves some recognition. Worth checking out. 8.5/10
